Kinda near the end of the golden days–
Garry Armstrong
High peak Autumn is ending though the weather is still late summertime warm. The leaves are falling wherever you look, like a golden rain under every tree. Not all the leaves are falling. This is when the maples and other of the really bright trees lose their leaves, but it will be weeks before the oaks start to drop their leaves. They are just beginning to change from green to bronze. The bronze oak leaves stay with us usually through most of November. Along the rivers, they reflect gold in the water.
I went to the doctor today. It had been a long time since he had seen me. Apparently, I’m fine. Old, but fine. I don’t feel fine, but that seems to be what happens with the years. I brought the camera. The area around the doctor’s office has some luscious foliage.

I could hear Nat Cole singing, “The falling leaves drift by my window, the falling leaves of red and gold..”. As I took these pictures.
Autumn is still very much with us here in New England. Some of the colors are simply exquisite.
Hope all’s well with you.
Love.

Well, it always ends eventually. This one lasted a few weeks and that’s pretty good.

Our garden is still quite lovely too, Garry. I planted a lot of marigolds and they are orange and quiet appropriate for Halloween. I still might get a few roses and the snapdragons are glorious.

Leslie, I don’t know who said autumn is in decline. These pics say otherwise.

Glad you are fine, although understand what you mean about not necessarily feeling fine as the years roll by! Still what fabulous colours by the doctors, well worth the visit 😀

Becky, thanks. When I answered the Doc’s query “So, how are ya feeling?” —. He gave me the “oil check” look over and told me I’m doing just fine despite all the mileage on my body.

And most of the parts (except the hearing augmentation) are original. They need a lube job.

Sadje, thanks. The colors were really glimmering in yesterday’s sunshine. Today, it’s overcast.
