FOTD – November 14 – Anthurium
I don’t remember when I first posted pictures of these anthurium, but these are the same anthurium. Not new ones. The same ones. These have got to be the sturdiest flowers anywhere. They seem completely unchanged and it has been at least 7 or 8 months. I didn’t know anything could bloom for that long. It’s impressive.
My orchids are beginning to come up again too and they are long and slow growing. I repotted my Christmas Cactus and I wasn’t sure they would bloom in the new soil. I divided them into two pots because they had grown too big for one. One has a few little buds, but the other is covered with buts and is now in the process of moving from big buds to blooming. I’ve been taking the pictures from day to day. Today, it’s anthurium.

You do have the best luck with your orchids and Christmas cactus.

They like the light. When I find the right light, I NEVER move them. It really is all about light — and watering them at the right time.

I’m still searching for that special light…

It’s hard when you don’t have windows in the right places and trees blocking the light. I really only have ONE window. The others are all blocked by trees.
