THE LIGHTS OF DAYLIGHT CHANGING

CFFC: Sunset to Sunrise

These are all archive pictures. I apologize, but I haven’t been anywhere this year. Usually we get outside and take some real sunset pictures at least, but not this year. And here, we have trees. In the spring, I can often get some pictures because the trees are bare and for some reason, the sky lights up in the spring and fall. Right around the equinoxes.

    • We actually talked about DRIVING to Arizona since neither of us would consider an airplane. I used to get sick from airplanes long before COVID. It’s that recycled air. I miss the southwest. I felt better there than I have anywhere else I’ve traveled. No pollen, dry air. After a week there, I felt 10 years younger and OH the photographs!

Let’s hope vaccinations fly into our lives SOON. Please soon.

    • My sunrise and sunset pictures are among my favorites. Ever. While taking them about a million mosquitoes decided to try to consume me for breakfast, probably because I was the only person in motion. But I got lucky, too and for each sunrise, I got some incredible beauty. Sunsets too although Arizona does seem to specialize in amazing sunsets.

    • I actually set my alarm to get up just before dawn to get those sunrise pictures. These days, I don’t think ANYTHING could convince me to set my alarm for 4AM! I was younger then … and we were right on the water, so it wasn’t a long walk. Also, I was lucky that the sunrise was so good.

These days, it’s sunsets. I’m awake for them 🙂

    • Thank you. They were \easy in Arizona because every night, it was incredibly beautiful. I guess they get used to it, but it was amazing to me. Just one gorgeous sky after another. Up here, our sunrises tend to outshine our sunsets, but we live in a woods, so there’s nothing much to take pictures of. When we travel, we get better pictures because we aren’t in a forest 🙂

      • Lucky you. For me, I love sunsets because of its bright colour amd because I don’t wake up early enough to see the sunrise haha. Have a good day Marilyn.

    • Most of the great pinks (with one exception) were taken down in Arizona. They sky was that brilliant pink pretty much every night. Sometime it was actually bright red. You’ve got AMAZING sunsets.

We have very lovely sunrises here, but I can’t SEE them through the trees. I’ve gotten all the really good ones when I was on vacation. No vacations in the past few years, so no pictures, either.

      • I never get sunrises. I stay up too late at night. And then stay inside and write once I do awaken.

        • I had to set an alarm. I was really determined to get those pictures. We were facing fully eastward, so I knew I wasn’t going to get sunsets. Some of these were taken in July, so sunrise was at 4:20 in the morning. Not MY hour either!
