I no longer grow tulips. I did. Until a couple of years ago, I got a bunch of them each year. They never seemed to be the same color twice. One year, they were all red or pink. Another year, yellow. Not a huge number of them, but I planted the bulbs when we made the garden and they grew for me.
Last year, we didn’t have any tulips for the first time in nearly 20 years. It’s possible that the bulbs were eaten by animals. Tulip bulbs are very popular eats for skunk, chipmunks, deer, and other creatures. Apparently they are tasty. I haven’t tried them. Not yet, anyway. Given the state of neglect of the garden, new plantings seem redundant.
