Usually, the birds enjoy teasing me. Between the time I see something I want to photograph, picking up the camera — which is right in front of the window — and turning it on, the bird has vanished. They fall off the deck rail and are gone. But once in a while, a bird decides to pose for me. This Blue Jay was sitting on the rail on a little pile of ice. He stared at me, the gave me his right side, his left side, full frontal, and a really good side view, after which he jumped into the flat feeder for a quick meal.
