I wasn’t expecting anything because we all agreed we weren’t going to exchange gifts. Nonetheless, I got some. I do appreciate them. If I had some reason to believe I’d actually be going anywhere before maybe next summer, I would probably be a lot happier. Still, it’s nice to know that should I actually exit the house before the seasons change again, I’ll have just the right stuff to wear.
I got a winning lottery card from my son. From Garry, I got a new pair of cozy slipper socks, two pair of wool knee socks, a very well insulated winter had and matching glove. From my daughter in law and granddaughter, I got a lovely scarf (it’s almost a shawl) and a flattering hat with a fake fur pompom on top. Obviously, I should provide pictures so here are a few. I forgot to add the shawl for which I apologize. The pile of goodies also includes a second pair of sock slippers which I bought for myself before I new I was getting more. But now, I can actually WASH a pair before putting on a fresh pair. Isn’t like wonderful?
The best part of them is that I didn’t expect them, I was delighted I got them anyway and hope I have the opportunity to go out and wear them. Right now, I’m not feeling overly encouraged but you never know. The chance may yet arrive. Any month now!
