THE LAST PICTURE OF THE LAST MONTH OF 2020

LAST PHOTO OF THE LAST MONTH OF THIS LONG, LONG YEAR

Once again, the chip is still in the chip reader. Nothing very special, I’m afraid.

Could be worse. Had to straighten it. It was kind of crooked. Okay. VERY crooked.

The best I can say for that shot is that it’s in focus and it’s bright enough to almost see what’s in the picture. Otherwise, it’s kind of blah, which is why I hadn’t bothered to process it. It was a random shot. It could use a little work.

  1. It’s wonderful! The plants look great, and I really like the tree–Norfolk Pine?

    • Yes, indeed it is. In Australia, they grow HUGE. Here, well, not quit so huge but it’s the only fir tree one can grow inside. I did put it out for the summer and it really liked being outdoors. When the weather changes, out it will go again.

    • Mostly what bothers me is the orange color which normally, I’d try to correct (though that’s easier said than properly done). I know we are supposed to use a different setting — or an actual physical filter — to correct for it, but I often don’t know where I’m shooting and after I change settings, I have to go back and fix them. So in the end, I fix them with software. It isn’t as effective, but it is easier.

    • Thank you 🙂 If ONLY the lens were faster. All my long lenses are slowish. Leica has dealt better with long and fast lenses than Olympus, but I’m sort of married to Olympus. That’s what happens when you have a lot of cameras and lenses from one manufacturer. It’s just too expensive to switch and except for the slow telephotos, the cameras are wonderful. Thanks again!!
