FOTD – January 21 – Day Lilies
I thought maybe I could get misty and nostalgic about the Day Lilies. To me, when i see the lilies, I know it is summer. Early summer. And at least two months of warm, humid, summer days to come. Bring on the Day Lilies and summer!
Such beauties!

They are my all time favorites. As long as they bloom, life is beautiful.

Thank you, Cee!
We don’t have much garden left, but we still have a huge display of daylilies. I think these kind — what are now regarded as wildflowers though they originally were garden flowers from Tibet of all places. Almost all the fancy lilies are from China or Tibet, but they grow any and everywhere. I love them.
I probably have a thousand MORE pictures of them that I couldn’t find, but these seemed to be enough. Almost like a garden. Nice, because it’s cold and snowing outside!

Thank you 😀
They are summertime in my heart. When I see them begin to shoot up from the ground, I know that winter is ending. It takes more than a month for them to get as tall as they grow — at least here. Some are more than 6-feet — taller than my son who is (unlike me) not short.
