Gold before dawn
Yesterday, I gave you a golden sunset. The following day was gleaming and beautiful, perfect for the inauguration and a great uplifting or our hearts. This morning, I woke early and wandered to the kitchen. The sky was glowing with a sunrise. I usually go back to bed. It was, after all, just after five in the morning. But it was beautiful, to I propped open the kitchen door — it was cold! — and took as many pictures as I could before the sun began to rise above the horizon to turn the night into day.

Way too many trees…

It makes “sky” pictures a bit complicated. Actually, it makes them impossible.

what a sunrise – clearly the skies are delighted with the change in leadership. Onwards and upwards Marilyn π

Thank you! We’ve been having (mostly) nearly perfect days. No snow since December, which is the same pattern we had last year. I suspect more drought is coming. You can see from the photos how hard it is to get sunrise and sunset pictures. Trees EVERYWHERE. Life in the woods is great as long as you don’t want a picture of the sky π
It’s just two days since the inauguration, but I’m sleeping a whole night for the first time in years!

Sunrise, sunset – swiftly go the days…
That first picture DOES look like fire in the sky.
What’s your vector, Victor?

We have great sunsets and sunrises. What we DON’T have is a way to see them when the leaves are on the trees. Or anyway to take a picture of the moon. Too many trees!

Yes. I get great abstracts of silhouetted leaves and branches in front of the moon π

It’s amazing to wake up and see those wonderful colors. Sometimes, the entire sky is lit up. That’s even more amazing π
