A PHOTO A WEEK: PHOTOGRAPHS IN MOTION

MOTION – A PHOTO A WEEK FROM NANCY MERRILL

For those of us who take pictures of birds, it’s no problem getting pictures of creatures in motion. The bigger problem is getting these constantly moving feathered friends to sit still. I’m always thrilled when I get them still long enough to get a clear shot. But the motion shots can be a lot more interesting.

    • Thank you 😀

Getting birds in motion is easy. They are pretty much always in motion. Squirrels too, except for ONE squirrel who plants himself in the flat feeder and doesn’t move for hours at a time. Right now, everything is moving because the snow just started to fall and all the birds are out getting food before the snow really piles up.

It’s harder to get people in motion, or at least visibly in motion. Maybe it’s the different shooting conditions.
