QUESTIONS:
If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be for?
A small dinner party for close friends and/or family. Just to talk and relax. I used to give big parties, but even the idea is exhausting now. And also, big parties don’t really let you talk to anyone. You run around “hosting,” but you never get to sit down and really talk to anyone.
Is a picture worth a thousand words? Elaborate.
It depends on the picture. Some pictures aren’t worth a caption, much less 1000 words. Some are worth a lot more.
Where IS Waldo?
Quite possibly in the forsythia bush in the back yard. He is at one with the birds and woodchuck who live there. Note: Squirrels live directly above them, in a tree. In more than ONE tree. Quite possibly in many trees.
What’s the best part of waking up?
Coffee.
Would you rather be covered in fur or covered in scales?
If it’s going to be fur, how about squirrel?
Fur is certainly more pleasant to touch, but a bit might be too cozy in summer. Scales are interesting, but probably I can’t see me wrapped in scales unless I’m also a dinosaur. Can I keep my skin? It’s not my favorite body part, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. I don’t think I’m ready to become something else. At least, not yet. Who knows what the future might bring.

Anyway, how about feathers? Can I pick my favorite colors?

We are getting a run of nice weather AND the stimulus bill passed the senate — barely,but. It passed. We urgently need it. It’s hard to complain because so many other people are in equally bad shape with as many or more problems. It’s not like we are uniquely under pressure. That being said, it would let us get out from under the big debts. It doesn’t solve long term issues that are waiting just beyond the horizon, but it will get us into April in much better shape.
Getting that fear of missing money off our backs will dramatically improve life around here. The future? Well, we will have to deal with it in its own time.

Thank you Marilyn for Sharing Your World, Your Wisdom and Amazing Photography! That bird is GORGEOUS and one blogger has opted for feathers over fur OR scales! I like that! The squirrel tails look lush and full, clearly their diet at your feeders is doing wonders for their coats! I like the idea of a small intimate dinner party. It’s far better than a huge crowd, making too much noise and being so big that nobody has a really good time, they just spend it trying to HEAR. Waldo has achieved “Zen”…Sandmanjazz found that out (although the outcome, being eaten by a Yeti, was a lot more gruesome)… I think Waldo is more at home in your backyard!

The red squirrels we have these days have VERY curly tails. They look like round caps sometimes. I think they also signal each other by wiggling their tails — either that or it’s squirrel dancing!
I didn’t play a lot of video games. They were too intense, too complicated and usually, too expensive and anyway, I like word games and card games — especially Scrabble and Bridge. So I know about Waldo, but I never “played” Waldo. He is a big character in Robert Heinlein’s book, “Waldo.” But he is AI and he runs the world. Small difference. I think he should nest and be a birdie. His other fates look less attractive.
I just fed all the feathered friends. They’ve been eating like crazy. Of course, the flying squirrels might have come back. I don’t have the camera up, so I have no idea what’s going on in the great backyard. Could be flying squirrels — very likely — and or raccoons, too. And maybe my early morning squirrels are going crazy at the feeders.
I really enjoy this particular challenge. I can be a bit creative and even funny. The only two “word” prompts I follow are yours and FPQ. Otherwise, it’s pretty much all photography.
I should mention, the “new” block formatter does a really poor job managing photographs, so every time I have to write something that contains more pictures than words, I go back to the classic. I don’t know what I will do when they take it down. I can’t even get my photographs to load properly in the block format.

I know people who really like to dress in fuzzy clothing. Panda suits, squirrel costumes. I’m told it’s both a sensual and sexual thing. I suppose there are weirder quirks out there, but after all these years, I’ve gotten comfortable being human. Though, come to think of it, when the weather gets REALLY cold, I envy the squirrels!
