A Photo a Week Challenge: Unexpected Focus
I didn’t have the right picture for this yesterday, but this morning, I took some pictures that are (I think) much closer to what you are looking for. My orchids put forth another (third) bloom and I focused on the buds rather than the flowers.
I didn’t think I’d like the pictures, but I must admit, they front focus adds something to the meaning of the picture. With the focus on the buds rather than the flowers, the pictures is more about flowers that will come though flowers are already blooming.

Lovely, Marilyn. These work perfectly.

I wasn’t sure what you were looking for, but I figured anything I shot very close was going to have a varied focal area.
Hey, remember when no one knew the word “bokeh”? How did we ever describe pictures without it? There are a lot of other specifically photographic words in Korean. I used to know a few of them. There’s one that means “The light from the sun as filtered through a curtain or leaves on a tree.” Just ONE word 🌹

Thank you 🙂 Some days, every shot is great. On a bad day, nothing looks good. Today was a good one and maybe we can go outside and take some pictures soon. I just need one more shot!
