FOTD – March 27 – PROMISING BUDS AND ORCHIDS BLOOMING
They aren’t blooming yet, but they are promising to bloom in the future. I have a lot of repotting to do. I bought the pots and the soil. Now i have to generate the energy and take my plants out on the deck and get dirty! I already put new earth into my orchids and I need to with the utmost gentleness do some work on my succulents, especially the Christmas cactus. I may not do much because they are budding and if I mess with them, they won’t bloom. But soon!

Thank you. They are also — of ALL my flowers — the most photogenic.

They are a wonderful display flower and once they start, they last for a long time. Months.

Thank you! With a little luck, they will be even more amazing whenever those very slow moving buds bloom 😀 This batch seems sturdier and healthier than the two previous batches. Maybe it was the fertilizer.

Just planted my herbs and I have some other flowers to plant as well, hopefully, today. Looking forward to seeing them blooming.

I have to keep reminding myself that March is NOT planting spring or even growing spring. It is the end of winter. There is sometimes warm March weather, but rarely. It’s usually exactly like this and sometimes, colder. I just WANT it to be spring.

Smarch weather! We had snow north and south of us. We had snowishly rain. Snowflakes that were elongated but still identifiable as snow. lol very loosely but dang cold for all that.
