THE TUFTED TITMOUSE

The Tufted Titmouse is Owen’s favorite bird. These are charming and friendly little birds, They like to grab a seed, fly up to the nearest branch, break the shell on the bark, the come back for another nibble. Until the Cowbirds drove all the small birds away, we always had these little guys around. These were among my top handful of favorites, along with the finches, the Carolina Wrens, and Chipper Sparrows.

  1. Wonderful little bird Never seen one of those. Maybe they are only down East? Looks like it’s a Jay of some kind.
