ONE GENIE, THREE WISHES

Fandango’s Provocative Question #121

Just for the fun of it, Fandango asked us this charming question:

  1. Make Garry and I feel healthy so we can enjoy whatever will come.
  2. Bring on enough money so we can afford to do things we enjoy. We don’t need billions. Enough to take care of our teeth, hearing, breathing, medication — maybe take a little vacation. Pay our bills, and have something left over — and fix the house. Really, that’s just one wish with a long sub-clause.
  3. I wish everyone we know should have the same good things happen to them so maybe we can all enjoy life together!

I think to make things as nice as I’d like to see them, I might need more than three wishes. Because there’s so much wrong and so little time to fix it.

If I were God, I’m not even sure I’d know where to start or even IF I want to start. Maybe we’re just beyond help. Even from whatever created us.

So meanwhile, send that genie up our way. Can’t solve the big issues, but maybe can fix a few people who just need to get their lives comfortably on track. These days, I think I’d settle for being able to breath without wheezing!

  1. I think those are the wishes I’d choose too.

  2. I’D WISH FOR GOOD HEALTH FOR CANDACE AND ME. I’D WISH FOR ENOUGH MONEY TO COMFORTABLY FIX UP THE HOUSE AND GET A NEW FENCE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT FINANCES. WE SEEM TO NEED THE SAME GIFTS.

    • It’s getting old and being on a fixed income. Unless you started out with more money than WE had, that’s pretty much where we ALL land. But at least we still have homes to live in! No small thing, having a home of your own and not being stuck in some bizarre old age facility.
