A Photo a Week Challenge: Horizontal Lines
I remember way back when I still had to get dressed to go to work trying to find a flattering skirt. I finally found a nice one with thin vertical lines running downward on a soft taupe background. “It works,” said the sales representative, “Because the lines run the right way.”
I still can’t bring myself to wear anything with horizontal stripes. At this point in my life, you have to wonder why it matters. But I’ve still got that person’s voice in my ear saying “It works because the lines run the right way.”

SERENDIPITY - SEEKING INTELLIGENT LIFE ON EARTH 
How funny – as to that remark AND our perception of something being said…. I love stripes but REALLY shouldn’t wear them because I’m quite horizontal enough all on my own – but of course, that sales person was right!

To this day — and this is at least 50 years later — I can’t wear horizontal stripes. Not that anyone cares anymore, not even me!
