Living in a watershed valley, there really is water everywhere. No ocean, but I don’t believe you can live anywhere in this valley and be more than a quarter of a mile from a river, stream, or lake.

You had a gorgeous day for taking pictures. I love the ripples of wind moving the lake where the kids were playing. And the setting just cries out for taking a good long nature hike! Don’t you just love days like these?

Yes. Especially in the fall when the air is dry and just a little bit crisp!

There could never be too much water for me, I should live on a boat…

I’m too old to go boating… just living on the water would be enough for me…

THESE ARE LOVELY PHOTOS. I WISH I HAD SUCH BEAUTIFUL WATER NEAR ME. WE HAVE A WASH THREE BLOCKS AWAY, BUT THE LOS ANGLES RIVER THAT PASSES THROUGH IS SCARCE AND ONLY DESERVES THE TERM “RIVER” AFTER A GOOD RAIN.

Yes, your drought has been long and awful. We were beginning to get close to a dangerous point where the fish died for lack of water and the ducks and swans vanished. This year of heavy rain has REALLY helped. After 10 drought years, it was such a relief!

The valley is beautiful. Sometimes, when I look around, I’m just amazed at how lovely it is.
