The Changing Seasons: August 2021 and This is August 2021
It was a wet, hot, steamy, weird month and it went by so fast I never got outside to take pictures. Every time we planned on going out, it was either 100 degrees with equivalent humidity (who can breathe in that mess?) or raining. I sure do hope that autumn gives us some better weather. Time is just racing by like a speeded up carousel — without music or horses.

There have been few flowers in the garden. The weeds won! Even the Duke doesn’t want to go out into the “weather” we’ve been having — and this is a dog who loves even heavy rain!
About The Changing Seasons from the authors
The Changing Seasons is a monthly project where bloggers around the world share their thoughts and feelings about the month just gone. We all approach this slightly differently — though generally with an emphasis on the photos we’ve taken during the month.
For many of us, looking back over these photos provides the structure and narrative of our post, so each month is different. Some focus on documenting the changes in a particular project — such as a garden, an art or craft project, or a photographic diary of a familiar landscape.
But in the end, it is your changing season, and you should approach it however works for you.
There are no fixed rules around post length or photo number — just a request that you respect your readers’ time and engagement.

I like that analogy of the weather being a carousel without horses and music!!

I love that you still managed to capture fun & beautiful images, Marilyn, despite being kept home this month. It’s been raining lots and lots in Singapore, too, so we’ve had to postpone numerous outings.
Hoping September brings better weather so you enjoy some outdoor time!

I noticed the leaves are beginning to turn. Right on time, too. IF it doesn’t rain ALL the time, we could have a really nice fall. But all these big tropical storms are producing an awful lot of rain, so I guess we’ll see. I’m just missing being out long enough to take pictures! I can take pictures on OUR property, but it gets pretty repetitive after a while.

I hope so too because it will suddenly be winter. Our seasons seem switch very fast, sometimes in hours in the middle of a day!

Wow! Changeable weather …. makes for some excitement, but not very convenient for planning outings!

Thanks! The Duke ALWAYS looks happy. He is a happy dog and doesn’t need a special reason.

I just love the flowers and animals of course Marilyn. I enjoyed the construction views too. Yes when a dog doesn’t want to do the usual you know something is going on. Thanks for joining in 🙂 🙂

Even the birds look depressed. I think a whole summer with so little sunshine is tough on everyone, even though we really needed the rain. The Duke is good with weather. He’s fine with rain, snow — everything except high temperature and humidity. Then, he goes out for a few minutes and comes right back in. A/C for everyone!
