FOTD – STONECROP AND HYDRANGEAS – SEPT 7, 2021
Although there are a billion weeds, the hydrangea are blooming with enthusiasm as are the stonecrop. It’s hard to get pictures of them amidst all the green weeds. But, with the help of a very long lens from the deck above the garden, I got a few.

Thanks, Cee. I’m glad some part of the garden has survived! It’s been a rough year for gardening — everywhere!

I’m always “amidst weeds” in our gardens! What would we pull if it weren’t for them? 😎🌺😎

We pull them out, but with all this rain and very warm weather, they grow back overnight. Literally, in one night. I’ve never seen growth this wild. But the flowers seem to have somehow survived, so maybe we’ll have a slightly more normal year next year. Sure do hope so!

There is something quite soul releasing about a wild garden, and such gifts of colour!

It wasn’t meant to be a wild garden. It just turned out that way! We lost the daisies to the deer (don’t believe the promises on the plant’s inset because the deer don’t read them), but the stonecrop and hydrangea are doing very well. At least it’s green. That’s something 🙂

At the moment, I am happy to let my garden do what it wants. Wild, just about covers it!

These are great pictures, Marilyn, weeds and all.

Thanks 🙂 I couldn’t figure out any other way of taking pictures of them except from above because the weeds have more or less engulfed them, though we do pull them up every time we are nearby. The weeds don’t care.
