BIRTHDAY SUIT AT THE BEACH

Fandango’s Provocative Question #137

Have you ever been to a clothing-optional (nude) venue, such as a beach, resort, club, party, etc.? If so, what did you think of the experience? Would you do it again? If not, would you ever consider going to a clothing-optional gathering? Why or why not?

Back in the days when we were frequent visitors at Martha’s Vineyard, there was a nude beach at Aquinnah (previously Gay Head). Garry and I never went. We felt we saw too much human than we wanted to see at any beach even wearing bathing suits.

I went to one nude beach in Israel on the Mediterranean and everyone wound up counting my surgery scars — not exactly the kind of enthusiasm you are searching for at a nude beach.

Would I do it again? Not as long as there is breath in my body. I don’t even want to look at all of me as I round the corner to my next birthday. I’m not sure I was ever comfortably nude anywhere other than as a couple. At our ages, nude partying is hilarious to think about and might cause some people to go blind.

Overall?

No, no, and NO THANKS!

  1. 🙂 not a pretty thought, not a pretty sight, in an overwhelming percentage of cases. We are right now in a rental studio (2 nights) where the toilet paper is placed inside a neat storage with a mirror on the INSIDE of the door…. I would have drowned myself in the toilet at the sight had I not blocked the ‘seat’ completely already 😉

  2. I’d be afraid that people would look at my naked body and run away screaming, “I will never be able to unsee that!”

    • That is EXACTLY how I feel about it. Garry has almost come to grips with having a big hole where his hair used to be, much less nude on a beach anywhere. I’m just a mass of scars and implants. It makes ME uncomfortable looking at it. Not gonna spread it around!

  3. I can’t even talk about this under the present circumstances, much less seriously consider it in reality.
