Last on the Card – September 2021
I’m late again. I’ve been trying to do this for two days already and somehow, I’ve done everything else. Yet somehow, I don’t think I’ve gotten anything done. Okay, took a few pictures and processed them, but I haven’t written anything. So, these are my three cameras. Owen and Garry each have one and if I don’t get distracted, I’ll post those tomorrow.

Proving that sometimes, you miss the target, behold my headless squirrel. The last shot on the original card. I deleted it from my files, but it’s still hilarious.

I think the only reason that shot of the upper part of the Mumford River is a pretty good is because I finally figured out what weird setting was making my camera take dozens of shots in various tones each time I pressed the shudder. I went out and took 75 pictures and came home with, I kid you not, more than 500. Just one unintentional click on some setting and voila, my camera goes nuts.
For that final shot, I was able to take the picture I wanted to take. What a relief!
Beware! Cameras can take on a life of their own.

Check the burst rate, bracketing settings and HDR button on the top left.., may have been accidentally pushed?

This would be on the Pen F — are the buttons the same? I’m sure I pushed something by accident, so every time I take a pictures, it takes at least a dozen which is ridiculous (and weird!). I generally don’t take the M1 outside. It’s set up for birds and the very long lens — and with that lens, it’s too heavy for hauling around. I use the Pen F a lot — with the 12-200 on it, it’s really an “all the time” kind of camera, except for it being rather a bit quirky. Normally, I don’t have any problems with it, but half the items in the menu don’t make any sense to me and their explanations are even more meaningless, if that’s possible.
