These are beautiful Especially the red ones with the fringes.

Those fringy ones are wonderful. I’d never seen them before I got them. I wish I’d been able to plant them, but winter stayed too late and they didn’t survive.

The frilly ones. I loved them too. I wasn’t able to get them into the garden in time. It was too cold, but if I can get the garden under some kind of control, I’ll try this year again.

I used to have a lot of these, but time and winter — and a few skunk and maybe the odd squirrel ate most of the bulbs. The garden’s a mess, but if I can get it back under control, maybe I can replant some of the spring flowers I’ve lost.

There was a time in history when the world went completely insane over tulips. It was like some wild internet thing. Everyone in the world wanted those Dutch bulbs!
