FOTD – February 16 – Columbine

I planted two Columbine when we first put in this garden 16 or 17 years ago. Now it’s the dominant early bloomer in the garden. All the plants, like the original, are magenta. Light magenta. I love seeing them pop up, covered with buds.

They bloom for weeks in late spring, sometimes right into June only dying as the daylilies com up.

  1. Nice …
Rose will be out there digging around pretty soon.

  2. Oh I really like your last photo. 😀 😀

  3. Did you find any intelligent life on Earth yet? I like the last photo the best.

    • I like the last one too. I took it with a macro lens, so it got a lot of details — and then I gently made it a bit graphical.

There is surprisingly little intelligent life on earth and we do seem to be getting dumber, not smarter.

      • Do you think so? It’s probably too many gadgets. Machines working for us so no one knows how to do what we did before, including mental arithmetic.
