It’s great thinking about spring considering that we are currently deep in winter. When I went outside to feed the birds this morning, the snow — which is now more ice than snow — crunched loudly under my feet.




A sure sign that it’s seriously winter when the Duke decides he’d rather go inside to the cozy sofa than sniff for squirrels on the deck. Meanwhile, here are the real flowers and my drawn flowers.

It was also interesting to see the photographs versus the pictures. I got the Solomon’s Seal pretty accurately. I went a bit dark with the clover, but I just liked the darker tones. I have to remember that art isn’t always “photography using pencils or paint.” it’s what you decide to create and I had fun with that one 😀
