I did a lot of drawing last night, so this sketchbook will come up a few more times. Meanwhile, I really liked how this one came out. It’s very moody. I should have used a bigger piece of paper!
This is the view you get at sunset in the winter on our road which faces almost due west. As the sun drops to the horizon, the sun is directly in your face. But if you pull off to the side of the road, it makes an amazing photograph, especially in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees.

Absolutely glowing. More life than the photograph. Well done!

It came out well. It looks like an illustration sort of, doesn’t it?

Looks abstract and a bit surreal. I like it.

Thank you 😀 It is a bit spooky which I rather like. I may try redoing it on a bigger piece of paper. I ran out of room before I ran out of ideas.

I love your wintry sunset. How large was it?

It’s a 5X8″ page and I didn’t leave a border. I had to add more canvas on the computer. I should have gone up to a 9X12.
That is a beautiful scene. It’s also blinding to a driver, so you might as well pull off the road and take pictures because until the sun drops lower, you can’t see anything.
