THE BLACK & WHITE SIDE OF THINGS

CBWC: Side of Things

Which side do you pick when an item is square? Or if it’s so thin, it really only has two side — like a bicycle? Which side is which on a flower that’s round?

Narrow side of the canisters
Red-bellied Woodpecker (This bird doesn’t have a red belly, but the name “red headed” was already taken)
Side view of the old fire engine
Downtown Uxbridge from the side

I think, to answer my own question, I don’t think you can have a side unless you also have a front. Which means if it’s round, square, or an equilateral triangle, all sides are equally fine.

  1. Hi Marilyn, your woodpecker steals the show in my mind. Great photos for this week 😀

    • Thanks Cee. I had more sideways birds than anything else — except the Duke. But those woodpeckers really stand out in black and white. Other than their red patches, they are entirely black and white anyway 🙂
