It is blooming time here in the northeast. From icy rain with a hint of hail just 48 hours ago, the temperature has been on the rise ever since. We have our A/C’s in place, so we are as ready as we can be for 100 degree temperatures. In May?

This azalea was living here before we moved in, so it has been in the garden for more than 22 years. It was always a very sad shrub, throwing a blossom now and then, but never looking happy about it.
Now, for no special reason, it’s thriving. Go figure.
