FOTD – June 18 – Roses budding

I thought the flowers would be blooming by today, but they are still mostly buds with only a few flowers. I had been worried we weren’t going to have any roses. Owen pointed out we couldn’t get rid of those roses if we tried to kill them.

I pointed out that we had actually tried to kill them and instead, they came back twice as full as they had the previous year. We cut them down to the ground last year and they are back and completely covered in buds. You really can’t kill them.
