FIBBING FRIDAY – July 8, 2022
I actually have a few books about these dating back to my college days when many of you hadn’t yet been born. Some of these “real” ones are centuries old, but many are new, made up because people find them fun. If you like word play, these are just fun.
1. A dynasty of DYSTOPIANS
2. A bevy of CARBONATES
3. A mustering of MALINGERERS
4. A scold of ADOLESCENTS
5. A cast of ACTING SCHOOL GRADUATES
6. A sedge of HEDGES
7. A comb of BALDIES
8. A pod of SUNFLOWER SEEDS
9. A covey of NERVOUS NELLIES
10. A party of BOOZERS
11. A boggle of BLOGGERS
12. A bo-peep of LAMBS
13. A confusion of REMOTES
AND finally,
14. A google of SEARCHES.
A book about time travel is titled (really): An Argumentation of Historians by Jodi Taylor. Great book and funny, too. It’s a series, now 13 books with another on the way. Available as Kindle from Amazon and for listeners from Audible.com.

Very witty answers Marilyn! I’ll have to check out that book too, because it sounds like something I’d really enjoy! And good one on those additional ‘collectives 11-13’ I did a spit take on that last one 🤣

Garry went to full giggles on a confusion of remotes. We have five — four for the television and DVD player and one more for the machine that plays CDs and yes, I still like having my own music and movies. I don’t like renting them.
You keep your spirits up. Doctors should not be giving you life-death info without knowing what’s going on. That’s just lazy and cheap. Trust me. It is NOT that difficult to check for pancreatic cancer. I’ve had it done and so has my son. It’s just an x-ray!

The original was called “An Exaltation of Larks” and I think it has been reprinted.

But there are used ones (I buy a lot of used books!) for as little as $2.

Willow came up with a ‘Lovey of Actors’, which I think is brilliant!
Thanks for joining in Marilyn. Love the additions!

Thanks! I just enjoy playing with words. Lacking a scrabble partner, I’m always looking for words puzzles and games. This was fun. Thank you again.

I love to play scrabble. Haven’t had a game for a while now.

I had all kinds of installation issues with the online scrabble game and finally just gave up. I miss having a real life partner with whom to play.

These are just fun. I was surprised there wasn’t already a word for people who want to be actors. There ought to be a word 🙂

I love “A confusion of remotes”.
It’s so apt at this address. Oops, wrong button, wrong remote. CHAOS!
