PRIMARY COLORS

CMMC July Primary Colors

Birds and flowers. I included yellow. It may not be an official primary color, but I think it’s primary.

A color blue I’ve only seen in Bluebirds

Is there anything bluer than a Bluebird? Or redder than rose?

The blue of the water, the green of the trees, all reflected in the Blackstone River. Photos: Garry Armstrong

Blue and green
More blue and green — and a Catbird
Goldfinch – Very yellow

    • Those bluebirds have a color like the Caribbean on a bright summer’s day. They are luminescent. Do you see them down your way? They supposedly migrate south as far as South America, though migratory patterns have been shifting with weather changes.

      • No. We occasionally have cardinals but no bluebirds.

        • I wondered. A lot of migratory birds aren’t migrating these days. It’s not so cold here as it was in years before. I had to buy a new bird book because the old one was wrong and many birds are simply gone or their range has greatly diminished. We still have a lot of birds around here because of the woods, but the lack of rain and the heat isn’t improving conditions for any living thing.
