Today the sunflowers pass from floral decorations to food for the birds and other seed-loving creatures of hedge and bough. They have gone to a better place. I’m pretty sure that they were what brought the rain. There’s something about the glow of a sunflower that makes the world a better place.

Your series of heart-warming beauties brings a smile to my Saturday morning. Sunflowers are my favourite flowers ever! and because we hardly get to see them in Singapore, I am devouring your images greedily!

Thank you. It’s a collection from all the years of sunflower photographs. I wish we could grow them, but are gardens are shady and sunflowers don’t thrive in shade.

They are sunflowers through the seasons. Some people have very sunny gardens and grow them, though no one has grown much of anything this year — and the heat and dry weather is back. I hope not for quite as long as last time.

You are lucky to have sunflowers around you during the summer months. I only see them if I travel across the country to the coast. The heat is worrying and horrible and I hope we aren’t in for a drought this year. The forecast is rain.
