I showed my colorful ones a few days ago, so here are my white ones. That pot is totally covered in flowers. Amazing blooming.

Thanks Cee. I was surprised to see the pink, though I think it might have been a reflection of the scarlet trees. Hard to tell from the photos, but there was definitely a shade of pink on the left side of the photograph.

I’ve never seen so many blooms on a plant before. Outstanding!

Neither have I. I’ve grown mums every fall for years, but this year — WOW!

I grew mums too but they never ever got as thick and gorgeous as those are. Just WOW!

I don’t know what it was about the weather to make them bloom like this, but it took ordinary buckets of mums and made them turn into amazing carpets of chrysanthemums. I wish I knew if it could be duplicated.

I also think there’s something special about white mums. In Japan, white chrysanthemum flowers symbolize death and memorialize the bombings at at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, in other parts of the world, chrysanthemums symbolize happiness, long life, and joy.

Thanks for this information, Marilyn. I seem to recall that they have white at Japanese funerals and red at weddings. I’ll have to look it up again.
