They haven’t put up the holiday lights yet. They usually do it at the beginning of December, so if it doesn’t snow too much, early next week the lights will go up.

Hope everybody had a good holiday, no matter what you did or where you did it.

Garry really has a very remarkable “eye.”

That last photo is a very pretty capture. Not just the moon, but the light shining on those steeples–nice one, Garry.

Lois, thank you. Caught that with my peripheral vision, holdover from my working days.

That is one of my favorite of Garry’s photos. I took a similar one, but his is better.

Thanks, Sadje. I think the man on the moon cued me for the shots.

Garry, what stunning captures! They “capture” my feelings of this season and the hope I have.

Small town’s are different. I think there’s less commercialization — maybe because we don’t have a lot of shopping (you have to go to another town if you want a mall because we don’t have one) — and maybe because our celebrations (except for our “Christmas parade at the beginning of December) tend to be small and family-centered.

So true, Marilyn. I live in one and share those sentiments.

There are a lot of things that annoy me about this town, but I can’t imagine living in a big city again. Or even a medium-size city.

Yes, I understand. I live close “enough” to get to medical help and conveniences I’ve grown to rely upon. I enjoy visiting, but in no way residing in them like you.

Boston is too far (and too much traffic) for us to get to on any regular basis, but we do (luckily!) have a good hospital and a great doctor out here.
