I finally got my new lens so I had to check it out. The first four are “the hand test.” Four shots, each a little closer than the previous. No processing except size reduction and a bit of cropping.

Two more shots: a closeup of the painting on an antique Famille Rose dish in low light (for this, I brightened it and denoised it) and a macro anthurium.

Looks like it is pretty close, but that’s the beauty of the macro lens. I managed to get a 50mm Canon Macro but l am yet still to play around with it. I love the last shot.

It doesn’t get quite as close as my 60mm Olympus lens, but it is a lot less fussy about focusing and it’s very sharp.

That’s all that matters though isn’t it 🙂 It does what it says on the lens 🙂

These pictures look very clear and good, Marilyn.

I’m pleased. Over all, I’ve been happy with my Panasonic lenses (they fit on both the Panny and Olympus 4/3 cameras). They are sharp and fast and slightly less expensive than the equivalent Olympus lenses. Except in some case, slightly MORE expensive.
