COVID FINALLY

I’m positive. Both Owen and Arthur are positive. Garry is still negative but he’s feeling poorly so I’m betting by tomorrow he’ll be positive. I figure the odds are absolutely zero that I’ve got it and Garry doesn’t.

I have to call the doctor first thing in the morning. Cancel everything.

Considering how many vaccinations we’ve had, I wish they’d worked better — and longer. Oh well. Nothing to be done at this point except deal with it. We dodged this bullet for more than three years, but this time, we didn’t duck fast enough. I assume I caught it from Owen and he has no idea how he got it.

  1. Covid is very hard to avoid now with everyone out and about, working.

  2. I have escaped it so far. In a move of complete idiocy, the airline has decided to remove the plexiglass barrier between customers and workers. Everyone can see fine and hear fine. This is a move absolutely no one is calling for. Leave it to upper management to dream up something like this. When I return to the office for a few days a week for a couple of months, I will stay away from the customer-facing side of the office.
People are still catching it. Hopefully, the vaccines mean your cases will be mild.

    • Well, three out of four of us have it. I think I heard Garry coughing, so he’s got symptoms, just no positive test result yet. I’m doing pretty well, actually. I feel like I have a cold, but I’ve had worse colds and this doesn’t come anywhere near a bad case of flu.

  4. Take care. We’ve had our bouts here, but they were minor given the vaccines. Best wishes, Keith

    • I’m trying to get that worked out. Rules. Lots of rules. Doctor needs to talk to hospital then EVERYONE needs to talk to ME. Garry is still negative.

      • if Garry stays well (I know he was feeling crummy yesterday) He can be the official soup maker/deliverer. In August, when it was my households turn, I turned positive 5 days after my partner. Strange stuff, indeed. Feel better soon!

        • Garry can’t cook. He has NEVER cooked, even when I was in no condition to do it myself. But he’ll have to do something tonight because I am NOT cooking! Fortunately, I don’t think anyone feels much like eating.

  10. I had it this summer even though I had all my shots and boosters. It was not a bad as it would have been without them, I’m sure of that. I hope you all are feeling better soon – sorry you all got it too
