They aren’t blooming yet this year, but they look like they are trying hard. It is still a bit early, still dropping down to freezing or even lower at night. But the green shoots are up. Can flowers be far behind?

I love daffodils.

They are the brightest sign of spring, brightly shining before anything else (okay, maybe forsythia) is blooming. And it is so sturdy. It just keeps coming back, year after year. How can you not love it?

Very right. Over here we grow narcissi but not daffodils. I don’t know why. I like the sweet fragrance of the narcissi very much

We have some narcissus growing on the other side of the driveway. We didn’t plant it. Maybe it came with the birds?

I love daffodils, Marilyn. I particularly like yellow flowers.

Good thing, since so many flowers, wild and tame, are yellow. But they are especially important in spring. I think we really need that splash of brightness after a long, grey winter.
