No matter how many pictures I have of bluebirds, when I see one, I need to take pictures of that bird. There is something about bluebirds. The colors, the symbolism. But I think it’s mainly the colors. Or maybe that they are such small thrushes and so brave and doughty.

This little one is adorable. I had to Google their symbolism, as I was not aware–how lovely!

They are the happiest of birds. Where there are bluebirds, the world is always happier. I feel that way about most birds anyway 😀

Who wouldn’t want to photograph such a beautiful bird?! We don’t get them here, otherwise I would probably be taking loads of photos of them too!

We get them this time of year. I’m not sure where they go from here. Canada maybe? As the weather has warmed, a lot of birds have stopped migrating. I’m hoping if something is going to hang around, the bluebird will be one of them.

And they pose. Of all the birds, only the bluebirds and the cardinal find a place to stand and stay still enough for me to frame them and take reasonably clear pictures.

Bluebirds pose. They find a prominent position and stay quite still — which lets me actually focus. Most birds are so active and so involved in eating, it’s hard to get pictures that don’t involve feeders 🐦
