FOTD – May 9 – As the garden grows
What isn’t showing are the lilacs. It’s time to plant new lilacs in a sunny place. The ones we have are 20-feet tall and shaded. They only bloom at the very top of the tree so maybe a new tree should be on my list.

So these are Narcissus, Columbine, Solomon’s Seal and Wild Strawberries, The name Solomon’s Seal is obscure, each source I checked saying different things, none of which are traceable to an original source. I guess it will have to stay a mystery.

Thanks Cee. At least I’m staggering outside to take a few pictures. This COVID sure is lingering.

The funny thing is the birds planted it — or must have — because WE didn’t. I love it too. It isn’t even IN the garden. It grows rather wild along the edge of the woods, near the Solomon’s Seal.

But these are grown by bulbs, just like tulips!
