I’m pretty sure a day wouldn’t do it for me. I’d need at least a week. Maybe more like a month. Fixing everything that’s wrong with the planet could take a bit of planning and implementation.
So, I’d have to be a Goddess. That way I could finally pump out the sump that is world politics. I could retire a lot of people who are unfit for their position so they can be at home watching TV and raving on Twitter. Perhaps jail a few others, all of whom fully deserve it. Then, pass gun control by eliminating all guns. Put the trees back where they belong. Clean up the oceans and the rivers.

Cast a giant god-like spell that eliminates humanity’s need to destroy everyone who isn’t just like them. Make everyone polite. We don’t have to agree on everything, but there are “rules of the road” we I would fuse them into human brains.

I’d re-enable discussion in place of whatever it is that passes for “discourse” today. Today’s “discussion” bears no relationship with anything I understood growing into adulthood. Mostly, it’s people being ugly to other people. The winner is who can be the biggest, meanest, ugliest person in the crowd.

And finally before retiring from what has to be the hardest job in the universe, I’d turn the Earth back into a garden. That’s how it started and that’s how it should continue.
Then, I’ll pass the job on to the next person who has the character to give it a try. It sounds exhausting but it has to be worthwhile.

I always figure I should put in something pretty when the subject isn’t pretty.
