Flowers are blooming inside and out. Two big orchids are blooming, two more are thinking about it and sending up shoots that I think will be buds. One more is considering the possibilities of life versus death. It took repotting very hard, but it is sending up shoots. I await its decision.

Thanks. Spring came this year in a rush. We have not in the past gotten much spring weather, but this year has been an exception.

We seem to have moved from spring to fires. We’ve got more than 700 fires in this state alone and lots more in Canada and out west. It’s incredibly dry. I don’t ever remember seeing 17% humidity in this region. It’s normally at least 40% or higher. That’s desert humidity. And it all happened in just a couple of days. The weather has gotten very strange — and it has stopped raining.
