A THIRD OF THE WAY THIS OCTOBER – Marilyn Armstrong

IT’S ALL HAPPENING ON THE FEEDER
Six little American Goldinch eating on a wire feeder

I have to tell you, it wasn’t easy finding six of anything on the feeder. A lot of flocks of five, but this was the only one with six. You have to count the tail of one because you can only see five!

BIRDS ON THE WIRE – DAY 8 – Marilyn Armstrong

BIRDS ON THE WIRES- DAY 8

Like a bird on a wire … well, in this case, a plank or a feeder. Close enough. Today the American Goldfinch began to return. They are as cute as ever they were and the brilliant yellow I love to remember.

Welcome home little yellow one!
There will always be special seeds for you!

WordPress WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: LINES – Marilyn Armstrong

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: LINES

Out in the deserts of Arizona and Mexico, there is only one tree that can cope with the dry and constant heat: the Ironwood tree.

LINES AND CURVES: THE FOLLOWING EYE

CEE’S COMPOSE YOURSELF CHALLENGE

Exercise:  Show us 4 to 6 leading lines photos.  These photos should have fairly straight lines.

Extra credit for Gold Star Award: Show at least two photos of lines that have a slight curve or “S” curves.  This a different kind of leading line than the straight one, but it still takes your eye through your photo.

The first composition technique I learned was the importance of lines. Diagonal lines often are the difference between a dynamic picture and one that is pretty, but just sits there.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns – Stay in the Lines

Lines in and around the road

The lines in the road, the power lines running across and alongside the road … lines define the direction, the world. Stay within the line. Draw within the lines. Never ever go outside the line. This message is brought to you by Karma and Destiny, Attorneys at Law.
