I love the way stones and bricks look in black and white. I love the shadows and textures. I also love most architecture in black and white, often better than in color.
The Beacon Hill house looks a similar era to the buildings in Oatlands which are mostly early to mid-1800s. Looks like we had a few similar subjects this week.
And were probably built around the same period. That was an explosive time for humans around the world. Most of Uxbridge was built in the 1880s as were all the other valley towns. And that was when the trains expanded, public transportation grew and there was tons of work for everyone. The rich got richer, the poor stayed the same. Worse than now. I think it is how “now” got triggered!
Fabulous photos for this week. Thanks so much for displaying your stones and bricks. 😀
