CEE’S ODD BALL PHOTO CHALLENGE: 2016 WEEK 5
Three from me, two from Garry.
When Garry shoots, he is making a movie in his mind. If his pictures remind you of a scene from something you’ve seen on the sliver screen, it’s no coincidence.
I take pictures because my eye sees something — though my brain may not register precisely what. I figure out later what I intended. Photography is one of the few things in my world I do not over-think.
In all of the pictures, I’m testing my new filters. Interesting effects. More to come!

Thank God for the new camera tech. I can safely snap away and not worry about the cost of film. And remember anxiously waiting for your prints? And then the disappointment that some lost or weren’t what you hoped? But the cost !!! And now we can even fix or salvage a lot that couldn’t before. Great times ! Thanks for the shots.

I remember coming back from our honeymoon with 27 rolls of film. Months and hundreds of dollars later, we finally had the pictures. I LOVE digital!

Lovely photos from both of you. A picture is worth a thousand words. I am like you Marilyn, I am always on the lookout for a good photo, thus I take a lot of photos

I have finally convinced Garry that volume matters. I never regret the pictures I’ve taken, but I am always sorry about the shots I should have taken, but didn’t.

I can’t wait for more to come. Garry looks good, as always. 😀

Thanks, Cee. I have to open some more of the folders. I think there are a few hundred pictures I haven’t even looked at yet. It’s just as well we took so many pictures while we were in Arizona because it’s very dull around here this year. The weather is rather west coast — almost 60 degrees today! I killed a mosquito this morning. On February 1st … a live mosquito!

There’s a story in every picture.

Yes, there are. Sometimes more than one.

Speaking of which; noting that there is a picture of Garry in this collection, and he IS at that moment in the Southwest. Does that mean he’s an “oddball”?

I think most of my pictures are oddball in some way. That was the strange little shopping center where they had the iron cowboy statues and I went shopping. I think it was just outside of Phoenix.

Yes, I always look for stuff that might not be obvious at first glance. My eyes are like a Cinemascope viewfinder. Right now, dog hair and allergies are fogging my viewfinder.

Maybe that’s why I can’t focus my eyes. All the dirt. How many times will the floor need washing today? I think we may set a record!

I love that sign – “active bees in area” – as opposed to those “inactive” ones which laze around all day drinking nectar smoothies and watching Netflix.

I wondered about that too. Must be where the hives are, the home of the Busy Bees who do serious work. I didn’t see any bees. I also didn’t see rattle snakes or scorpions. For all of this and more, I am grateful 🙂
