Many roses come my way, but the red ones almost always show up on “occasions.” Birthday, anniversary. And sometimes, just because. The first picture was my birthday. The next was an anniversary.

Only some roses have much scent. I think it’s all the cross breeding to get special colors. But wild roses have no scent either, so maybe it specific colors?

We have ‘desi’ roses here which have a sweet smell.
