It’s a very pretty spot on the river with a tiny boat ramp. Also one of the flattest parts of the Blackstone and one of the few areas where swimming is allowed.

It was cold this morning, but much warmer by middle of the day — and now it’s cooling off again. But the day before yesterday, the leaves appeared on the all trees except the oaks. They should appear in a few more days. It has been a very cold spring with particularly cold night. I have to go close the windows now because I can feel the night blowing in. Our rhododendron put out a whole new set of buds, replacing the ones killed by cold night and the azalea is covered with buds. The daffodils finally decided to die for the season, but our one and only tulip is still blooming proudly.
That’s the good news.
