KITCHEN STILLS IN BLACK & WHITE

CEE’S BLACK & WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE: STUFF IN THE KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM

From Cee: This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Kitchen and Dining Room Items.  You can show tables, chair, dishes, appliances, food, silverware or utensils, sinks, stoves, etc.  Use your imagination and have some fun along the way.

Our kitchen, in the early part of the afternoon. A time of soft light, and busyness. Corn beef cooking on the stove top. Peace reigns.

  1. What an amazing kitchen!! The not-so-tidiness is enhancing great features of it.

    • Thank you. It has not been my best week, but you have certainly improved it hugely 🙂 According to the weather gods (the ones on TV, that is) … it is going to be really nice really soon and I will get out there and chronicle the arrival of a new season 🙂 Thank you so very much, Cee!!

      • You are welcome. The weather gods here are at least predicting more normal rainfall for us. Scattered and light showers along with partly and 50s and 60s for highs. Perfect.

  3. Ha! Know what caught my eye? The can of Comet and the ripoff eye catcher printed at the top of the can. “20% MORE*” If it doesn’t say “FREE” or “BONUS”, you know you aren’t actually getting MORE of anything. The tiny font the asterisk is tied to will always say something like “*20% more than the 40 oz. can” Thanks for the math lesson, Comet, and thanks for assuming customers are all stupid and will fall for your stupid gimmick!

    • You know, I totally ignore that stuff these days. I just buy what I need and can afford.

      • The best advertising trick I learned of was when they use the word “virtual.” Any claim made after using virtual is…. well, virtually meaningless. I can advertise that my blog virtually cures cancer, and there’s nothing anyone could legally do about it…

  4. I love that first shot Marilyn- it is a still life of kitchen – I was able to take in all the parts of it, just love it

    • Thank you! You got a good look at my kitchen REALLY — because i was in the middle of making chili … so it was “reality time.” In fact, it’s time for me to go make some more chili. With luck, it’ll be two meals with one cook time.
