FOTD – June 2 – COLUMBINE, PRETTY IN PINK

The columbine are at their peak. This is their last week and they are in full bloom throughout the garden. By next week, they will be mostly seeds. Maybe some of the charm of flowers is that they are here and then gone. They pass through our lives, all beauty for their days of blooming.

      They look like pink bells. Small, but graceful. These pink ones are, I think, among the originals. There are fancier ones that have a different flower.
