Leaving the yard, the long curve of the tracks ahead, then out into the countryside. Traveling by train through the Blackstone Valley, a rare view, almost forgotten.

I saw these photo’s yesterday and liked them all. I have always enjoyed looking backwards, such a different view. I do like Owens photos of the side of the train, he was one lucky young man that day.
I miss rainy days, the smell, all of it. We are very brown and dry. Headed for another summer of fires.

Well … we are heading for a summer of mildew. And rot. Everything is completely sodden. Yes, he was lucky. Maybe next time he’ll get to do it in dry weather. It was a big treat for him. he’s a big fan of trains. Always was, since he was a kid.

It sounds like you are experiencing our weather. It has been very wet the past week or more.

I think more than half the country is experiencing the same weather system. It keeps moving around. We got a bit of sunshine today, but it’s supposed to be back to rain tomorrow. Everything is sodden.
