Odd Ball Challenge
Some definitely oddball leftovers this week. This first one, I call still life with flowers and plastic robot. If you want to know more about Robby, click here.
This next shot is called “Very small dog amidst tall trees.”
Finally, I have no idea why I took this. I think it was the light or something.
This one, because it’s Autumn in New England and our driveway looks so pretty dressed in bright foliage.
This one, because I always laugh when I see our gate. You can see the wellhead too. How much worse could the location be? Bet you can’t answer that!

I love the still life with plastic robot. (the essence of humor–an unexpected juxtaposition of elements!) If Robbie ever learns to do laundry then I will probably have to get one and risk making Kewpie jealous. She is queen bee around here but utterly un-domestic.

Robbie doesn’t (yet) do much, but he makes us laugh. Which is no small thing. Our dogs don’t seem to mind him, probably because he hasn’t stolen any of their biscuits. He’s a plastic pal! Who talks! Then stumbles and falls. Hm. Sounds like us.

Hmm. I always remembered Robbie the Robot as being a sort of pewter color, not black. At least back in the movie Forbidden Planet. But maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. It wouldn’t be the first time.

I don’t remember and neither does Garry. How embarrassing.
I just looked it up. He’s is black-ish. Closer to black than anything else. But with a pewter tinge.

Okay. I’ll take your word for it!

There are pictures in the Wikipedia article. I just looked at the pictures. No genius (or memory!) required 🙂

Does Robbie do laundry?

If we buy the full size one for 17,000 bucks, maybe. This guy just says “How may I help you?” then falls over.
