NORTH AND NORTH AGAIN

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge: 2014 #15

This comes at a perfect time. We’ve been on the road for some days now, so I have a lot of road and travel pictures to share. From the borders of Massachusetts, to Jackman, Maine. With Bingham and Skowhegan and all those little towns between, these are our travels — so far!

From the Attean scenic view ... just west of Jackman, overlooking the pond and the mountains

    • I love the simple roads up here. Not fancy, no glitz. Just plain roads, going from here to there 🙂 And we had better be on one very soon …. it’s a long drive and not much time.

    • We could just hang here and it would be fine, too, but today we are off to Skowhegan to meet Bette Stevens for lunch. Meeting one of my great online friends for an actual, physical Lunch!! Wow!!

  4. Thanks for sharing your pictures Marilyn. It sounded funny when you commented that you finally saw the mountains because here in Portland, Oregon we can’t go anywhere without seeing the mountains. We’re surrounded by them. As I go grocery shopping snow capped Mt Hood is just at the end of the road, 50 miles away. LOL

    • My family used to go to the mountains — the Catskills or Poconos — every summer. Garry and I have mostly gone down to the cape for the ocean, but this year, it was time for mountains. We can go to the shore anytime. There are plenty of nearby mountains … but not BIG ones. You’ve got the BIG guys 🙂

    • This is our second visit. If it weren’t such a very long drive … But next time, I think we’ll break it up and stay over someplace half way. That will make it much easier to handle. I don’t know why we didn’t think of it this time. Sometimes, we forget we are getting old.

    • That’s the goal of our vacation. I’m using my pitching hand (southpaw) to chuck the cares.
